Hello Urban Mamas (and Papas)..

Welcome to The Urban Mama website!

Ever wonder what would happen if a blogger turns a mother? She blogs about their kids all the time and lose the sense of writing anything else! That’s what we do to our blogs… until we decided to create something else, The Urban Mama!

The Urban Mama is a blog started by four blogger moms who always meet up for playdates and talk about their kids ALL THE TIME!! All of us are long time bloggers who are still quite active in updating our blogs in between changing the diapers and running around chasing our kids. Only now, the stories are also about diapers & tons of pictures of our kid(s) So, one day, we decided that maybe we should create a group blog where we can share our experiences about raising kids and have other mamas (and papas) join us. After all, no parenting experience would be the same and it’s always fun to hear them!

All four of us actually met through blogs (huh? where else?) and blogged from different countries. Due to strange coincidence, we all became residents of Singapore at the same timeline, married and had become mothers. And of course, still bloggers! So it’s only natural that our family became good friends and had occassional playdates. We shared many parenting tips along the way. From pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, to raising an active toddler, it’s all there. The meet-ups are always fun and better yet, it got us an idea to create something bigger than just sharing them among the four of us (well, eight of us, if you count the d

ads!).

Although one of us now live in Jakarta, we still keep in touch whenever any of us visit the hometown or vice versa. The technology also allows to interact anytime, anywhere and keep on sharing those parenting tips we always have.

So, stay tune for more articles and stories about kids, moms, dads and general parenting!
